Bill, the wall, the girls, etc.

Here's Bill, cutting flagstone to make bricks to build a wall in our backyard. Flagstone he managed to find free at a local flagstone place from their scrap pile. Flagstone? $0 Labor? $0 An improved backyard? Priceless. He's been laboring for months and the wall is getting built. He labored for over 18 months and he is now officially licensed in the state of Arizona. (YAY!) I see a correlation. I call him a Warrior because when he is clear on the goal, he goes after it with a tenacity I've not witnessed elsewhere. Except maybe in the Bible when David knocked out Goliath and then RAN at him to cut off his head. Bill is like David in that way. And I couldn't be more proud.

I need to take more recent pictures of the wall. Here it is unfinished and unaffixed. We plan to plant a couple of citrus trees back there for shade and for fruit.

I just love this picture. The sisters scouting out the front door...the younger focussed on something and the older overseeing the mission.

When I made this the picture at the top of the blog, it wouldn't use the better lighted one, so here it is. I plan to rotate the picture as my friend, Jocelyn, is doing these days. I like that idea...thanks Jocelyn!

There's so much...from Beth's birthday in June to my birthday last month to Abigail's birthday to Jon's visit to the women's retreat and on and on. I hope to spend more time here talking about it all. Life just keeps coming and the challenge is to breathe it all in with the deepest of gratitude. I am breathing and I am grateful.
