After a lengthy and heartfelt conversation with my dear friend, Jon, I'm finding my way back to the blog. He's encouraging like that. Besides not being sure anyone reads it anymore (since making it private), I started working in February and my world has been pretty rocked as a result. But I miss it here and I hope there are a few who still log in to check up on the seeryfamily blog although I've certainly taken my sweet time to get here.
The short catch-up:
2009 ended in sorrow for those of us close to Lisa and Art. The grief remains.
I started working in February for One-On-One Mentoring. For my Dad. As a Mentor Coordinator. It's a 40-hr./week job shoved into 15. Which is rough sometimes but I'm enjoying the work. And the paycheck.
Jon married Erin on February 20th and Bill officiated. And I gave a toast. And we all rejoiced (!) the answered prayer that is Erin.
Shauna married Marty on April 24th and I read the NT verses. Marty and Shauna are perfect together and I'm so thankful to God they get to be married. More answered prayer.
Hannah finished kindergarten on May 20th, sweet girl. She had a great year and is looking forward to first grade but happy for the break. She and Abigail are enjoying (you know, for the most part) the togetherness that summer brings. They had VBS all week and loved it.
Bill and Hannah have a birthday on Tuesday...6 for Hannah and many more for Bill.
Bill's business is now thriving instead of barely surviving. For that, we are grateful. Our God is mindful of us and provides beyond our comprehension.
There's more but it's after midnight and I'm meeting Lisa & Michelle for our monthly breakfast in the morning. It was my bright idea to make it an early meeting. The pain of the hour will be washed away by the comfortable and familiar conversation of friends since high school.
