Jumping in...

For months now, I've been reading other people's blogs. Tonight I found one from a friend in California (Hello Skelly Family!) and decided to jump on the blog wagon. Here goes!

Actually, I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm sure "edit" will be a button I push a lot. Along with envelopes...I tend to push a lot of envelopes.

As of April, we're back in Arizona after living in "the" OC (Orange County) for five years (for my husband, years more than that before we married). The summer was unusally humid and pretty miserable and I found myself longing for the beach weather quite a bit. Now it's finally (!) cooling off and my mood is getting lighter. It was pretty heavy there for a while. Change is hard. I was reading about grief and loss and realized I'm slowly moving out of the numb state but remain disorganized. Bill and I agree that we're in survival mode which, really? Isn't a great mode to be in. We're working on it.

Our girls are LOVING being near family. If anything makes me sure we made the right move it's their relationship with their grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins. Beautiful to witness.

So, I'll see how this goes and then slowly get the word out to family and friends - particularly those who live far from us - so we can update more often than one Christmas letter a year.
