Congratulations, Beth!
Last night, my sister, Beth, graduated with her Master of Education along with her Teacher Certification from Northern Arizona University. In this picture, she's accepting her diploma and giving much-deserved credit to her family for supporting her over the past year and a half. As she put it, she went from being a stay-at-home-mom to being away at class and immersed in homework and, this semester, student teaching. She and her whole family went through a huge adjustment, she worked super hard and she emerged victorious. We are all so proud of her.
Paul, Beth, Madison, Matt & Scott - being serious.
Not so serious. I told them I thought this shot should be on their Christmas card this year.
Beth and I post-ceremony.
Not pictured are my parents who were also a big support to Beth including watching her kids whenever one of them had to miss school due to illness. That, too, was a big adjustment for her family as, until this semester, she was always home to be with them. Not present were Bill & the girls - they were able to join all of us for dinner but we figured the ceremony would be lengthy and would run into bedtime and we decided they should be home in bed, instead. As one of the babies present at the ceremony had a meltdown mid-ceremony, I was especially happy with our decision.
Again, congratulations Beth! We are so proud of you and we love you.
